It’s that time of year again, draft time. If you’re like me you’re always looking for an edge. Draft tools are the edge I have used to win and help win more than on Fantasy Football Championship. Thing is there is so much information and so little time to analyze and utilize this information.

One of the first places the newbie (often called a guppies) looks is the many magazines that tout the “Most Updated” or “Free Website” access. Though some of magazines are from reputable publishers with great writers, the bottom line is that for the most part they are out of date before the ink dries. Further their updates can be found anywhere on-line, so why pay the $7-$10 up front to get outdated information only to have to go on-line to get updates you could get for free.

The second place many guppies and some of their older sibling fish look are the major search engines and sports web portals. Again, a lot of work and some of these Yahoo’s (play on words intended) are rumor mongers that will write a story on anything and for the most part give the same information that you can find on ESPN only later.

So what’s a guppy/fish to do?

I will be posting websites that have free trials, free updated cheat sheets, free e-mail updates, and for those who want it pay content that is worth every penny.
